According to the World Health Organization (WHO) data the prevalence of overweight and obesity among children and adolescents aged 5-19 has risen dramatically from just 4% in 1975 to just over 18% in 2016.  The aim of the research is to find relationships between the gender, genetic tendencies, chronic illnesses, birth weight, physical activity, duration of breast feeding as well as nutritional habits and weight deviations and also to determine the level of self-acceptance among adolescents.
